The Hot Dog Corral began as the vision of a 16 year old boy, who began washing pots and pans for a small local restaurant. Shane Podolsky soon became adept as a gourmet chef. He loved hot dogs and began experimenting with gourmet style recipes. In 1984 he opened his first hot dog cart, making twice his wages as a cook.

Shane proceeded to continue his hot dog cart enterprise part time, while he pursued his higher education, graduating from Rutgers University with a Business Degree in 1989.

While pursuing a business career in technology sales and marketing, Shane continued to perfect his culinary skills. In 2005, Shane designed and constructed his first Hotdog Corral booth. In 2006, the Hotdog Corral was featured at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. Throughout 2006 the Hotdog Corral has enjoyed great success catering special events in Houston.

The Hotdog Corral offers a wide variety of food presentation ranging from mobile street carts to semi-permanent food booths suited for any festive occassion or promotional campaign. The Hotdog Corral boasts an original menu while featuring all the classic recipes.
